The Morocco FinTech Accelerator held its second sprint at StartGate, with a focus on regulatory support for FinTech startups and strengthening dialogue between innovation and regulation within Morocco's financial ecosystem.
The session brought together three key regulators of the Moroccan financial sector: Bank Al-Maghrib, the Autorité Marocaine du Marché des Capitaux (AMMC), and the Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et de la Prévoyance Sociale (ACAPS). Discussions addressed innovation frameworks, compliance, and FinTech enablement.
Building on the program's kickoff, which brought together startups, partners, and financial institutions, this second sprint contributed to advancing collaboration across the ecosystem. The first sprint focused on capability building and innovation through sessions with 1337 Coding School, one-on-one business mentoring, and an introduction to Banking as a Service (BaaS) as a pathway to digital collaboration in finance.
The Morocco FinTech Accelerator, launched by the Morocco Fintech Center (MFC) in partnership with UM6P, supports FinTech startups through regulatory, technological, and market guidance. The program provides access to expertise, infrastructure, investors, and business partners to support growth, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
